Has anybody on here successfully used this combo I have two different 460's (one from MSI, one from XFX), and two different 780's (a \"DT\" desktop chassis and an \"MT\" mini tower chassis), neither of which is working. The card displays a picture but it's only as a \"standard VGA adapter\" - none of the enhanced features of the card work - and device manager reports a \"Code 43\" error:Both of these are fresh installs of Windows 7 64-bit using the latest drivers downloaded from AMD's website. I've also tried running the AMD cleanup utility and installing drivers from MSI and XFX websites, no difference. Event logs are not indicating anything significant and I've tried toggling the BIOS setting from \"Auto\" to \"Onboard/Card\", also no difference. For reference I have about 60 of these systems all of them maxed out with 16GB PC3-10666 RAM, Q9650 3.0GHz quad core processors, and 1.0TB SSHD drives. Latest BIOS versions and all system patches and updates, etc. I've nursed them along for years and they still perform great for most tasks. Previously I've ran Radeon HD 4650, 5570, 6570, and R7 250 video cards in them, upgrading over the years. So I'm not a noob when it comes to installing AMD graphics cards in these systems, but am struggling with these new ones. I wonder if there's just some fundimental incompatibility between the chipset on these latest cards and the Dell systems
Just to satisfy my curiosity about whether it was a software issue, I just tried it with Windows 10. Fresh install the latest version of the OS (\"Creator's Edition\"), install all Windows updates, then tried to install the latest driver's from AMD's website. Got this error:\"Cannot properly identify the AMD graphics hardware\". That's new. I had specifically picked the correct hardware before I downloaded the driver. So I tried with the driver from the MSI website. It successfully installed, but gave the same error (\"Code 43\") after a reboot.Looking more and more like the cards aren't backward compatible with my motherboards. Which would be a shame, since otherwise they fit perfectly (Dell cases can be kind of tricky). :'(
I just smacked a RX550 in an Optiplex 745 (pushed to its hardware limits) and have the same code 43 error, as many others, though no solution Ive tried has worked yet, so Im more or less replying to be able to find this thread again. Though I hope that a work around or solution comes to light.
Sharing files between Google Docs and Box, Dropbox, or SkyDrive is simply a pain. The standard method to share between them is to download the file to your desktop and then upload it to the other service. A better alternative is to use the online service Otixo, which lets you manage multiple cloud file services in one central location and transfer files among them without downloading anything to your PC.
