There are several different instruments in this library. I'll try to name most of the instruments I hear in the score. First of all is the grand piano, which is a hybrid instrument that uses both the dulcimer (found on the grand piano) and the piano.
In contrast to the orchestra I was introduced to in the previous example, a band effort doesn't make the most of the tools available. This larks (or instrument) is a three string instrument that is played with a bow. It can be used to play lullabies and nursery tunes, and is perfect for any application that needs a tuneful accompaniment.
Earlier I introduced the term {wah-wah} and I'd like to explain a bit more here. A {wah-wah} is a fricative vocalization that helps to create a vibrato effect in the voice. It can be heard in a few different instruments in this project. For example the harp plays a {-sough-} type sound that overlays the bass note. The kantele plays a {-sough-} type sound that is similar to the harp and also overlays the bass note. In this case, when an {wah-wah} is played at a higher pitch, it will also vibrate the strings normally making the sound even more rich, vibrato-ish, or dramatic. This is the perfect tool for creating a vocal line.
The cimbalom plays a {sigh-sigh}-type sound, and also overlays each string. This is perfect for pizzicato lines, when each note in a chord is played independently. For example, to create a slide-guitar type sound, you can simply play a {sigh-sigh} to achieve that. d2c66b5586
