Webuyanyporn.com, set up by the owners of exotic literature shop Ram Books to collect more stock, has been inundated with calls from loved ones trying to off-load erotica left behind by the deceased.
What Is homemade porn In a nutshell: porn without pornstars. The name suggests it: the filming equipment is amateur: no professional lighting, no scripts, random costumes, natural sound, etc. Everything is made by the performers. Amateur porn has the freedom to do whatever they want.
There are lots of things to deal with when a close relative dies. Grief, obviously, being the big one. But there's also the more tangible stuff: there's a funeral to arrange, a lot of very depressing phone calls to be made and, in some cases, a sizable collection of porn to quietly get rid of. Until recently, that tended to mean a trip to the dump. Now, however, there's a company that will take it off your hands and pay you for the privilege.
Dave (who didn't want his last name or photo published) started webuyanyporn.com as a way to collect stock for his soon-to-be reopened vintage porn shop, Rambooks, in North London, helping himself and the community. More good news: you don't even have to be dead for Dave to buy your porn; if you're very much alive and have some jazz rags to sell, get in touch and you might be able to do a deal.
Have porn shops had trouble with law more recently than thatYeah. I saw it happen on a weekly basis in Soho back in the 1970s and 80s. Police would come in and say, \"We think that's illegal.\" It's a very gray area and it's never been changed. But [the BBFC rating] R18 came in, which laid down more specific guidelines of what was acceptable.
Halfway through our chat Dave decided to give me a tour of Rambooks, which is set to relaunch next week. Everything in there is vintage, from the pin-up Betty Page poster draped over the window to the shelves filled wall-to-wall with classic porn magazines.
I'm 23.So you don't know anything else. It's killed it in a bad way because there are no styles, no limitations. It's all instant gratification and hardcore porn. Bigger porn producers, ones from Russia and the Far East, they go that step further and there's no control. They just push the envelope.
And do you have a personal favoriteMen Only. It was one of the first magazines for men, not boys. It wasn't just porn either, there were interviews with people like George Best and Muhammad Ali.
What do you think about this protest Some have mentioned that the protesters are guilty of harassment and intimidation (Title 35, Article 45, Chapter 2 of the Indiana Code). Others say the protesters are merely exercising their first amendment right to assembly. Some say they are doing injustice to their anti-porn message with their methods. Others think they are being good concerned citizens doing their part to rid Uniontown of adult businesses.
Just so you know, as of now (August 28, 8:50am), there have been 46 responses to this survey, and 35 believe you have a right to protest the way they are doing it, and I think your methods are an effective way to promote your anti-porn message.
By the way, I was molested as a child and porn was a part of it. Pornography should be illegal as it harms everyone in society. I know it nearly wrecked my life and cause me a lot of pain both as a child and adult.
I just want to say that yes you are allowed to protest. But when it comes to destroying a truckers job, that is going a bit far. Me and my husband (who is a truck driver). Go to church every Sunday when he is home and I volunteer at the homeless shelter and we donate money to causes. We enjoy some of the items these stores have to keep flair in our marriage. We also were both virgins when we were married. Where in the Bible does it say that a man and women should not enjoy each other. Also i remember a pastor telling his couples to have relations for 30 days straight. Also look at the Catholic priests that have abused small children. Just because some of us go to these stores does not mean we are abusers and such. There are sex therapist out there that will tell a couple to buy certain items to get things going. Like for me i have a medical condition in which i have a low sex drive. So there are things in these stores that help me. Also the pictures you take of these rudes gestures, would those gestures happen if you were not there with your cameras. Remember you get more flies with honey. Just make sure that when you say all who go to these stores are bad, some are not. I mean congrats if you can shut your store down. But the porn industry is huge. It has been around for many years. Even back in Jesues day. There were prostutes. So please think before you speak or act. And I know that you say you respect truckers, if you do leave them out of this. Some of them are good guys, with families. I am sure their spouses know of what they do.We are not all sickos and abusers.
Why not let these people make their own choices to or not to look at smut. God gave everybody a soul if they burn their own soul its up to them. Besides Each protester probably has a neighbor that gets porn online or by mailorder. Seems to me if a church has that many people with that much spare time they would use their time to help the homeless, big brother big sister cleaning an elderly persons house or mowing for them. When you throw a bible at someone it just hits them and falls off. They have to want to be saved. I dint know how many people in that area are needy but all that time spent down there sitting would have helped alot of needy people that are asking for help.
All companies have strict policy for workers not to use company computers to surf pornography. If a worker does this anyway and you see it, company policy requires you to inform managment. If the worker is fired for breaking company policy, who caused the termination. The employee who broke company policy or the person who turned him in Same applies here.
The findings I stated are not my opinion. They are public record. When we presented the lack of enforcement by both police and local government at various commissioner meetings and other public gatherings we also presented the public record. The public record findings were considered so serious the Federal Department of Justice in 2008 moved forward to prosecute a mandamus order (i.e. court order to enforce the law) against the local government and law enforcement. The only thing that stopped it was a direct order from President Obama in January, 2009 who ordered all federal cases pending against pornography be dropped.
The only avenues for those who support porn are on forums such as this one. This way they can say anything, not have to back it up, not invest money and remain anonymous. It seems to us that if there was an actual majority of people who opposed the protesters there would be a much better showing than this in the public rather than on forum pages.
The real fact is in every community where porn is an issue, surveys clearly show 85 percent are against the sexually oriented business and only 15 percent support it. The several examples I pointed out support the same percentage would apply to Jackson County.
According to CBS affiliate WSPA, customer Gloria Berg was in the store with her son and his children when the store's 55-inch screen TVs displayed the offending photograph of a man and woman. The image was up for several minutes, allowing time for other families to see the pornographic image.
\"It was extremely, extremely pornographic image,\" Berg told WSPA. \"I think even the word 'pornographic' doesn't cover it. I have never watched pornography, so I don't know what else you can see there, but to me, I really felt extremely violated.\"
At a giant Best Buy repair shop in Brooks, Kentucky, Geek Squad technicians work on computers owned by people across the country, delving into them to retrieve lost data. Over several years, a handful of those workers have notified the FBI when they see signs of child pornography, earning payments from the agency.
According to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the new .xxx domain is intended only for members of the online, sexually oriented adult entertainment (pornography) community to use.
Providers argue that the domain will allow the explicit sites to be easily blocked on networks with internet filters, while those opposed to pornography complained of the lack of a mandate requiring all providers to adopt the .xxx domain.
A paper has recently been published on this topic using the number of paid subscriptions to online porn sites by zip code to see if neighborhoods with higher levels of religious service attendance buy more or less online porn then those with lower levels of church attendance. Even when the author controls for income (more porn in higher-income neighborhoods), education (more porn for those neighborhoods with high levels of college education but less porn where more have graduate degrees), population density (city dwellers watch more porn then those in other areas), and marriage rates (people watch less porn where marriage rates are high), he finds no difference between the number of internet porn subscriptions in neighborhoods with high religious attendance and those where attendance is low. The only difference is that in the neighborhoods with high religious attendance people are less likely to subscribe to an online porn site on a Sunday. In fact, a 1% increase in the share of people in a neighborhood regularly attending a religious service is associated with a decrease by 0.1% of online porn subscriptions started on a Sunday. Overall though, the same number of subscriptions is purchased over the course of the week.
